Olympics THIS WAY!
As part of the North Lincs Wellbeing Summer School run by Skills Centre PLUS and in support of the Olympics (and to add a bit of fun for visitors at Normanby Park), staff and students and Skills Centre PLUS have been working hard to make this stunning signpost, showing some of the countries competing in Tokyo 2020 and how far each is from Normanby Hall!
With the top 20 countries (from the 2016 medal table) featured, passers by can challenge themselves to see if they can identify the different countries by their 3 Olympic letters and their flag!
Students and staff have worked very hard, creating the signpost from scratch using recycled materials and a variety of skills from measuring and cutting wood, to welding, painting and using a vinyl cutter.
The signpost is now up and ready to see at Normanby Park, near the car park. See the process of how it was built in the pictures below!
