Business at PLUS
Paul and Nigel (Directors of PLUS) were invited to talk to 35 John Leggott College students at a (virtual) employer Q&A session. This was a fantastic Employability Hub event organised by Kimberly Gough.
The students asked a range of questions including:
- What subjects did you both study at school / college and did these make a difference to your career?
- Why did you both choose to work in Education?
- How did the idea for your business come up, can you explain what you had to do, to get started?
- What skills would you say are the most important to run your own business and be successful?
- What's the hardest thing about your work and the best thing?
- Can you give any advice about what things you need to know before starting a business?
- What hours do you have to work and what does your average day look like?
We really enjoyed participating in this event, hopefully providing some insight into how a business runs and the career pathways and experiences that support the development of a successful business
