Coronavirus (Covid-19) Updates: Wednesday 19 January 2022

We are OPEN

Skills Centre PLUS is open! Although we are only a small education provider, our Centres will continue to operate as normal for our post 16 SEND students.

The DfE requested that vunerable young people and students with Education and Care Plans continue to access support from education providers. In these unprecedented times we want to do what we can to support our local community. We would like to thank the amazing team at PLUS for their commitment and dedication in these difficult times. Skills Centre PLUS are working remotely with learners from North Lincolnshire, North East Lincolnshire and also Doncaster Local Authority. We would like to thank our amazing staff for their dedication and commitment in supporting our students. You are amazing!

In response to the Covid-19 global pandemic, we have designed and created a brand new support programme for vulnerable learners, which is available now. Check out the programme in more detail by visiting the "Our Provision" page or by clicking here

We have put safety measures in place to ensure safety among students, staff and visitors and require all to follow these guideline when visiting the centre. The 4 main measures to remember are shown below:

Wash your hands regularly for 20 seconds with soap and water, including when you first arrive at the centre. Hand sanitiser stations are also available across all Skills Centre PLUS sites.

Always keep 2 metres apart

Follow the one-way system

A face mask or visor must be worn by ALL staff, students and visitors while moving around the centre.*

*Those with an official medical exception card are exempt from this.

PLUS is a specialist provider, who works with vunerable young people including those with special educational needs, therefore we remain open to support our local communities in line with government recommendations. Whilst we are able to provide the support, we will remain open.

We review the situation and options on a daily basis, ensuring that students' needs and safety are constantly considered.
